Alison Goldfrapp: Die Synth-Pop-Visionärin kündigt ihr Solodebüt an
Mit ihrer neuen Single „So Hard So Hot“ kündigt die britische Sängerin und Synth-Pop-Visionärin Alison Goldfrapp ihr erstes Soloalbum „The Love Invention“ an, welches am 12. Mai erscheinen soll.
Nach Nominierungen, unter anderen bei den Brit Awards und den Grammys für „Strick Machine“, will die Britin mit dem Album eine Mischung aus zukunftsorientierter Musik und zeitlosen Sound kreieren. Für Alison soll die bereits erschienene Single „So Hard So Hot“ also nicht nur der Auftakt zum neuen Album, sondern auch eine Repräsentation von dem Sentiment in „The Love Invention“ darstellen.

Alison selbst sagt: „I wanted to do something that had that very clubby, acid-y feeling to it. But I wanted lightness to come out of the chorus – there’s tension there, as well as euphoric freedom“.
Das Soloalbum, das durch verschiedene Haus und Disco-Sounds beeinflusst wurde, ist von der Britin selbst produziert und mitgeschrieben worden.
Bereits 2021 stand fest, dass Alison eine Solokarriere anstrebte. Nun veröffentlicht die Britin nach über 20 Jahren in der Musikbranche ihr erstes Soloalbum. Zuvor in diesem Jahr hatte Alison bereits zwei Stand-Alone Singles veröffentlicht. „Fever“ zusammen mit Paul Woolford und „Digging Deeper“ in Kollaboration mit Claptone .
